Talked to Verizon who transferred me to HTC, who laughed and sent me back to verizon
The problem with my phone is that it keeps adding the country code to the contact phone number before it dials out. Any way to stop this?
Talked to Verizon who transferred me to HTC, who laughed and sent me back to verizon who told me that i could call google but they didn't know what to do. They are going to send me a new phone that should be here tomorrow. Nobody else has the problem where when you dial a number out of your contacts that it puts the country code 00151 in front of the number and fails?
But if you are calling USA from Australia, then there is more than one IDD prefix in Australia ( 0011, 0015, 0018 and 0019 ), and therefor you have to dial one of the following:
00111xxxxxxxxxx, 00151xxxxxxxxxx
I haven't had this issue. Just throwing this out here...are your call settings in global or cdma? Mine are in CDMA and like I said I haven't had this issue.
I have no idea if that would be the reason or not, but when I booted my phone up for the first time it said it was switching to global and I switched it back to CDMA.
What region are you in Tack? Kentucky for me.
New phone in mail today, same country code.
I am in Southern Indiana, about 5 miles North of Louisville. Is that close to you?
