Incredible droid surf net while talking on the phone?

I just got my Incredible Droid yesterday and I am having fun with it. This phone is so much enjoyable. My friend ask me if I surf the web and receive a phone call am I still able to surf the web while talking. He called me and I am unable to surf. Will they make this happen in the future? Thanks for your help.

It is a limitation of the CDMA network from Verizon. You can use WIFI to surf while on the phone if there is WIFI available.

At&t makes a big deal that their network can surf and talk at the same time. I've never been in a position where I neededboth tho

I have had occasions where it would have been nice to be able to use google maps or a google search when talking to someone on the phone, but it's not something I'd use more than once a month or so.

It's a highly situational feature IMO. Definitely not a deal breaker. I'd rather not have that ability than own an iPhone
