Incredible S on VZW

Thanks TBolt. I am really looking forward to it. Just going to be sad leaving my BB battery behind. At about 30 hours from last full charge and still at 40%

The only thing that could make this better for me is 4G.

Ouch! Just double-checked the specs - no LTE?!? I hope that's an errant omission; I can't imagine any carrier releasing a smartphone without LTE capabilities these days.

I don't believe that it is an error. None of the specs that have been leaked have mentioned anything about 4G. I think they are using the global capabilities as the trade off for not being 4G.

It isnt LTE.I already own the Incredible S and its only HSPA (3G). You wont struggle for speed though, its a lot faster than you would think. The other bonus of not haveing LTE is the battery will last long enough that you dont need to carry three batteries with you to get through the day.

Cool. Well, it's a shame that this one won't include 4G, but I know some folks who still NEED this baby with GSM.

I hope they offer a CDMA/GSM/LTE version eventually.

LTE isn't a dealbreaker for me....just happy VZW is finally getting a NICE Global phone....I'm here in Qatar and about to throw my Storm2 against the wall

I can't wait for one of these kind of devices! But I won't hold my breath....

I gotta say, though, after hearing all of the complaints from Thunderbolt owners about dead pixels & dust under the screens, I am very worried that HTC quality control is deteriorating. Could spell problems for the Incredible S/Incredible 2.

Have you Incredible S owners had problems with dead pixels and/or dust under your screens?

Thanks.

The IS forums over on XDA seem a bit more active than here, and I haven't seen anything of the sort there.

I hope there isn't any issues like that, I reall want this and the Flyer, so I have something to occupy my time here in the desert, haha

4G ?

I just have two basic questions and possibly a comment.. Is the Incredible S a 4G device and is it coming to Verizon? Looking at pics of the Dinc2 vs the S the DincS looks WAAYYY smoother. Plus the Dinc2 is 3G... why would I want basically another phone that's exactly the same (Dinc2) I want a smaller version of my wife Thunderbolt.
