incredible test?

Two completely different screens. As far as I know the EVO has not had the same issue.

We will see when the device gets into people's hands. The problem doesn't seem to be only with OLED displays. I read comments on people having similar issues with other devices.

I have an Evo, and just tried it by laying away from me, and while I can get the screen to scroll, it doesn't work as good and often "selects" the items where my finger first lands. It also won't send the screen scrolling fast as easy, but it does work, just not as smooth (for me anyway) as when I'm holding it. That's my first impression anyway

It's just a thing with capacitive touchscreen phones. If I am not mistaken (I might be) the phone has no true earth ground. It's a floating ground and when you properly ground it (Or otherwise mess with its charge) then it can cause erroneous behavior with the touchscreen.
