Incredibly Happy I bought the V10 over the G5

Got the V10 Wednesday and took it on a family vacation this past weekend. Coming from the LG G4, I really like this phone way more! Fast, vibrant, love the 2nd screen, fast charge is of course amazing, camera, feeling in your hand, etc. It's a winner! Wonder if it starts to slow down and/or choke after a while?

3 months on for me and no slow down or choke... it's a great phone...

Now slow choke here, I have owned mine since December... if anything its leaner and faster now that I have un-installed those useless "battery saver, ram saver" apps. Its faster with apps on stand-by in RAM-background.

I would not want to live with a phone without 9V fast charging. That should be standard from now on.

The finger print scanner on my v10 works for 2 weeks then stops...then I have to re-register my finger all over again several times...so annoying...is there a fix around this??? Plz help thx

Mine will do that if the condition of my fingerprints changes. So things like callous-ing, dryness, and physical wear will cause varying degrees of inconsistency over a ~3 week period as my prints return to normal. Other than that, my FPS has been very consistent.

Oh...and I do have bad dryness @ times....ok that makes sense...thx for the info

Sure, and FWIW my wife has the same problem with her 6S+. She is a dentist and is always washing her hands and wearing surgical gloves so her fingers can become dry and it causes problems with the iOS FPS. So its not just an LG-V10 problem.

Further side note... its not uncommon for fingerprints to wear out or just become physically un-readable, from time to time. My brother in law is a school teacher and in California all public school employees have to get their prints taken somewhat regularly. One time he tried and had no prints, or at least they were too faint for the ink process to work. The administrator told him to use some hand sanitizer and in 10 minutes his prints had returned. Something in the alcohol, anti-bacterial and moisturizing chemicals soaks into the skin and makes the fingerprints more distinct.

I suspect a good percentage of FPS reading problems are in reality fingerprint condition variations.

Thx so much for the many tips in your post....explains a lot lol...I think I use my fps too much ...I have it set up to unlock just about app on my phone lol...I'm also a school teacher and sometimes phones have been known to grow legs and walk off teachers' desks :-(

Sure np... I really dont use my FPS that much, I prefer the knock code to wake mine up. One of the coolest aspects of the V10 is its 100% functional by just the capacitive screen, no buttons required.

Hmm I'm happy I got a V10 over G5 as well here's hoping what the next V model has in store.
