Increse 3g speeds/signal

Ok so I rooted my phone last night. I used srf 1.2 and the genocide 1.1 kernal with the gow theme and it seems pretty stable. I can't really tell if it has better reception or not. I think youtube seems to wotk better. Is there amy other way to boost signal with my setup? I have heard of flashing modems, would that help? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can flash different modems. I had EC05 modem then went to EE03 and found it worked better for me.
Going by memory on the EC and EE numbers so if they are off let me know. But i did try several modems and found the EE one worked for me.
