zmann you shouldn't have to put a screen protector on it. It is made of gorilla glass, should be scratch proof.

It's definitely scratch resistant, but not scratch proof. I've seen plenty of pictures of phones on this forum with both Gorilla Glass and scratches.

3g on/off capability

With the old EVO, I can switch on/off my 3g antenna any time I want. With the EVO 3d, is that possible?

i just got home with mines, OMG I LOOOOVE THIS PHONE, i had my evo rooted running cm7 but the screen resolution alone got me, screen is so crystal clear, it looks awesome, im impress with sense 3.0 a lot of different widgets here, n the speed n the phone is so snappy, i just love it

I hear ya. They made it sound like the 3D was garbage,, it is actually quite good,, for a phone. I love it. Check out the sample 3D pics. They are amazing.

yea i havent check those out yet but i have all day, im 36 yrs old n i took off work just for this phone, im like a kid lol but man this phone is not bad at all, i wasnt a 3d person but like u said even the 3d stuff is not bad at all but im amaze by the speed n the how clear everything is, and i dont know about u or if is just me but the phone feels better in the hand than my evo

If you are coming from a evo 4g the 3d is not a upgrade it is a different phone all together. having the evo from day one the 3d has been a big disapointment. It's not a evo 4g upgrade I really wish they could have just upgraded the evo 4g's hardware and let everything else the same. It's easy to tell why apple sells more phones then anyone else they just upgrade the hardware and keep the phone the same.

So less not call this a evo 4g upgrade just a new evo

I have to agree, this phone has little in common with the Evo 4G, and IMO, despite it being a great phone, it is a bit of a disappointment that the 4G was not upgraded with improvement in every area. I'm not by any means disappointed with this phone, but I don't think its a worthy successor to the Evo 4G legacy, which was, and continues to be a flagship device for both Sprint and Android. The Evo 3G may be called flagship for a few weeks, but it will be quickly usurped.

Not at all. I just went outdoor to take 3D pics for first time and I am blown away,, this is soooooo cool. Screen protector does not affect it at all, nothing. Don't let anyone kid you. Fyi, i always have them put it on, not one bubble anywhere. Can't even tell its there.

Bestbuy its a zagg. Some like em some don't. I have always used zagg, never had an issue. I also bought a bottle of lcd screen cleaner. Stuff works good.

Has anyone been able to view or find the Green Hornet movie that's loaded? It made me download updates. After that I could get in the app but there isn't a movie.

Did you use the stock SD card or your own...the movie was on teh stock card and if yo just popped your card in(like I did) some sample pictures and the movie will be missing. I am working on getting evverything copied form the stock card to my card.

Zagg dosent have a screen protector yet for the E3D ...I jus called Zagg and they dont have one yet for that phone

Actually, ZAGG does have a screen protector for the EVO 3d. Best Buy installed it for me and I actually have the box... See the attached picture...

Relax, I wasn't saying I believe it should be scratch proof. I have never had a phone with gorilla glass to make that assumption, I just read about it.

Well, I was having a convo with this guy, talk to him many times before, 1, my bs radar is second to none, 2, this guy told me with my other evo that he would not put one on so he had no agenda here, 3,i know because of how the whole convo went that he was not lying. I believe the Sprint guy said this to them, that being said, who knows if sprint guy was lying, i doubt it. I put one on, screen looks beautiful, no affect on the 3d what so ever. Did not say 3D would totally be unusable like you translated it into,,,, he said that spot would be affected.

My bad. I read that as saying 3D wouldnt work from a scratch. Im sure it will be slightly affected in that area, but not major.
nonetheless a screen protector isnt a bad thing as long as the 3D isnt affected
