Insanely great battery life on the V20?

It took a few weeks until my V20 started to get insanely good battery life. I'm using my phone moderately with music streaming, several phone calls, and web browsing and by the end of day 2, I'm at 50% battery! For a phone with 3200 mAh this is impressive.

No quick charges or topping off a few percent here or there? Just a straight, 100%- 46%!

I wouldn't say battery life is insane but definitely an upgrade over the V10. I got about 5 hours of SOT yesterday with watching YouTube videos and taking a few pics and listening to media with a wired connection via the QuadDAC. Very good plus when I get my spare battery I will be good to go in any situation.

SoT isn't the best metric to go by. It really depends on all the other tasks, signal, etc. throughout the day .

Haha I know.. My battery lasts me all dang day. I stream tons of music through Amazon Music and do tons of work emails. It's the best battery I've had.

I have also noticed that my already good battery life feels like it had gotten even better. Woohoo!

That is correct. I didn't charge my phone and the next night around 7 pm, it was at 46%

That's insane battery life. I thought my Pixel XL was awesome.
I really hate LG and the big three carriers here in Canada for not carrying it. I was really looking forward to the V20. Damn....

Couldn't you order the US unlocked version? I know B&H sells it. The Pixel XL was actually my second choice.

I was thinking about that. But it all came down to $$$....went with the contract.
Don't get me wrong, the Pixel XL is still a great phone and got a hell of a deal for it. I was just really excited and looking forward to the V20 for months. Maybe the V30....

I cannot complain. I take my phone off the charger at 3AM and the V20 lasts me all the way until 8PM. I usually only use the phone for web browsing and the Android and Windows Central apps. Slight picture taking as I havent had a day to really push the camera yet. Havent played any games yet on the V20. I listen to podcasts as well through the hifi DAC. So far seeing 5-6 SOT for this first week with it.

Edit: oh yeah and about 30 minutes to an hour of YouTube.

Update: I'm actually getting 5-6 hours SOT if I'm heavily using the phone. Moderate to light use I get 8 or more.

I uninstalled Facebook and Facebook Messenger. I currently have Folio installed use that to browse and chat on Facebook. Works great and better for the battery and RAM. I still have Instagram and Snapchat installed though.
