Insignia Android tablet - model # NS-P10A8100 WiFi Issues

My Insignia Android tablet - model # NS-P10A8100 will not let me connect to the WiFi.

Know WiFi working as works on my smartphone (using it to write this message), on my laptop, & desktop.

When attempt logging in, the hyperlink for connecting - the "connect" button - is greyed out. Have tried turning it off & going into airplane mode, but the greyed out connect button remains. Have even pressed down on the network in attempts to erase it by "forgetting", but that option is unavailable for the unusable-on-tablet-alone network: it simply gives the name & worked-before option to connect to the network.

Please do advise.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this also happen in Safe Mode? On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.
