instagram gallery photos not showing up in timeline order. how to fix?

i have almost 5000 photos in my sd now. ever since I took out the sd card this morning (because I was trying to change my sim card). something weird happened. even tho the photo in the system gallery is in correct time order, the photos in instagram gallery is in reversed order(photos which I took a while back appeared on top and the new ones are at the way bottom which makes selecting photos extremely annoying. Is this a common known android system bug?

i really want to get this fixed.

I am having this same issue after Samsung S8+ did an update. Did you find a fix?
