Installing Amazon

I unrooted my Nook, thinking the update from BN was going to still give me wordfeud and other apps, of course I was wrong so Ive rooted my Nook Color back with the 1.2 update and I have the market but of course missing a lot of apps. I want to install the amazon market and I have downloaded it. When i go to install it, it comes up with two options: App Installer and Package installer. When i choose App installer it says to archive then unarchive. When i choose package it says there is a problem parsing the package. I need help, Ive been working on this for two days. i just want my wordfeud back

I followed this guide when I rooted mine, and everything worked.

eh, sorry, just noticed you were referring to Amazon Apps, not Market.

Having the same problem myself. Followed the guide in the above link, and can't get Amazon Appstore to work properly either. Any help would be appreciated.

I downloaded the amazon apk (sorry, I just Googled it and don't remember exactly where) and installed it through astro. From there you can download the app store from Amazon. Works great on my NC running cm7.

I have the Appstore downloaded and installed now, but when trying to install programs from the Appstore, such as Angry Birds Rio, the store force closes just before the download/install is complete.
