Hey guys, I'm running Nova Launcher and WidgetLocker on my Galaxy S4. I'd like to be able to access my camera from the lock screen without having to put in my password first, is there a way to do this? I'd seen a way to do it with stock Android or whatever, but I don't have the option in the Settings > Lock Screen > Lock Screen Widgets. It will only set to "Favorite Apps" and I'm not sure if it's because of Nova or WidgetLocker.

Thanks!

It is possible. If you open widget locker from your app drawer, it should take you to the widget locker screen in "edit" mode. If you press and hold on the actual locker icon, it should take you to a lock icon edit window. In that window, you can edit and customize what apps you want to be able to launch directly from the lock screen. Each lock icon can have a "quick-launch" shortcut for up to 5 apps if I'm not mistaken? In the edit window, just slide your lock icon to one of those 5 slots and you should be able to designate a launch action and an app that you want to launch. Simply put your camera into one of these slots and voila.

For me, I have phone, camera, messaging, internet, and unlock as my 5 unlock actions for my lock icon.

I use both WidgetLocker and Nova, and love them both. Yilun808's instructions are spot on, just follow them and you can customize the lock screen to have the camera launch option, or any other app for that matter.

I set my camera to launch from the default Jellybean locker, but it still makes me type my password in just like if I were to drag over to the unlock icon (but does take me straight to the camera once unlocked). It looks like I have a setting that isn't set right huh?
