Here is my pic of my contract extension with unlimited data. I have since removed my 5s and re-activated my 5. I think this is the fastest and easiest way to do it by ordering through BB and using your old sim. Thanks Cozume for all your help.

There are 3 lines in our family plan

A - UDP with available upgrade
B - UDP
C - Dumb phone

How do I use the upgrade of A on C but not losing UDP?
I talked to couple VZW representatives..they all told me that by doing this, I will lose A's UDP!! Is that true? Please help! Thanks@__@

If you don't want to use the BB method as indicated on the other thread, you can do the upgrade transfer online by transferring the upgrade from A to C. Once transferred, upgrade line C and pick the device you want and pick 2GB plan. Once you receive the device, activate the device on line C. Once activated, you can de-activate and re-activate your old phone and remove the data. You can now put the new device on line A.

What my concern is whether the use of the transferred upgrade eligibility will get rid of the UDP on line A.

Nope it won't if you do it correctly. I've done this method too and it works. Never went to the store and did everything online and had phone shipped.

I have what's probably a super dumb question, is there a difference between 4G and 4G LTE?

I'm only asking becasue BB has the Rose Gold I may get, but it's a different description of the phone, it just says 4G speeds, while the other's say 4G LTE

I'm considering taking advantage of the $100 new line promotion to offset the cost of adding a line for upgrades while maintaining my UDP. So I've done my research and fill confident that I understand the instructions. I logged into my Verizon account just to look at phones and check the steps. In doing so I came across something I've not seen asked.

I am on a Family SharePlan Nationwide Talk & Text 1400. This plan comes with unlimited texting for all lines on the plan (up to 5 lines). However when I get to the plan selection screen for the new line it asks me if I want to add unlimited texting for $30. I have the option of selecting no. I'm assuming that's what I should do since my basic plan has that for all lines but I don't want to do anything that risks affecting my existing lines and my UDP.

well, it shows contract end date of 2/8/16 already with unlimited still...

but I'll wait til the Note 3 comes in and I get it working to post the pic and celebrate

Yes, it's bundled in. I checked my bill and confirmed that there was not a separate charge. The plan I'm on is a promo plan from several years ago.
