you seem to have a lot of weird things happen to your line. Just call and Verizon will put the insurance back on your line. You may even be able to do it online yourself. It is a feature, so go to change features.Curiously, after I passed my upgrade eligibility to my son, the plan somehow changed and the $8 insurance coverage on my line has disappeared.
they have the Note3 on upgrade for $199. When they get to the plan section when adding the phone to your cart, the screens state it needs a data plan. It does not give any other options than "Keep My existing plan". Has anyone tried this successfully?
Yes, a friend of mine did that. It continued to show her as having unlimited data UNTIL 6 hours after she activated the phone. Verizon switched her to a 2GB data plan. She raised holey heck and was able to get her unlimited data restored and kept the phone but it took days of phone calls to Verizon and faxing in her BB receipt to get anyone to do it. No one can tell you if you will be as lucky as she was.
She told them her contract that was renewed said keep existing plan and they went and changed her without her authorization. She explained she never picked a new plan so what they did was to pick a plan for her when she signed up for keep existing plan and that that wasn't authorized by her.Any specific argument she mad to finally get it to go through? Or just had to peck away over and over?
And double crap, I cross posted this. Oh well.
if they were best buy mobile reps, that won't hold any water with verizon. What worked with verizon was the printed invoice showing keep existing plan. Also take screen shots of it showing keep existing plan.Excellent. I have chatted with two reps and one said it would be no issue, I am waiting for a response from the second. Fingers crossed. If the second one says the same thing, I am pulling the trigger on it.
as above, verizon won't honor what a best buy rep tells you. But my friend had success with the written invoice. Take screen shots, too.My convo with the online Best Buy Rep.

For sure you will be switched off of unlimited data if you do it in store.I was going to go in person to a Best Buy Mobile store. I always prefer in person.
Maybe it is just a glitch in their system.
If it doesn't work, don't wait too long to return the phone because you have a limited amount of time that they can switch you back to unlimited data. I have read at 14 days your contract is locked and they can't switch you back. And now have a printout of the order screen in my account that specifically states Keep my existing data plan.

Keep us posted. Like I said, my friend saw her unlimited drop off at about 6 hours after activation.Thats in the cards too. It would be tomorrow. But I'm crossing my fingers.
