Interesting find (nova)

So every now and then my pixel xl would just reboot. I was using nova launcher so I decided to go back to pixel launcher for a while and noticed my phone stopped rebooting. Now reinstalled nova to see if it starts rebooting again. Anyway, anyone else using nova and experiencing a random reboot every few days or so?

Got another freeze and reboot, pretty sure it's either nova or 1weather

I have Pixel XL, and use Nova as well. I also get spurious reboots -- I discover it when I go to use the phone and I have to enter PIN code rather than use fingerprint to gain access. The reboot does not occur while I am actively using the phone.

I have no data that ties it to Nova, I have not tried disabling Nova and going back to native launcher to confirm whether it turns the issue on and off.

But -- just another data point of spurious restarts on a phone using Nova -- whether there is or is not a correlation is unknown.

I have nova prime but not doing anything crazy with it

I have problems with Nova stopping and having to wait for it. It started after I installed the Canadian Pixel update. I never had any problems before that. I am hoping the update that is supposed to be coming this week will fix the problem. I cannot stand the Pixel launcher.

Have had nova on my pixel over a month now. No dropped calls. But I still think I got taken by the price. Pixel not my favorite phone.

I find Nova sometimes does slow screen re-draws, but no reboots for me yet. Certainly Nova is not as fast and smooth as Pixel Launcher, which is hardly surprising, but it's plenty fast enough for me.

I haven't dropped calls either, it just freezes or reboots from time to time.

Same as hal1 - always used Nova, still do, never had a problem.

Maybe completely reinstall it from Play?

I added Nova Prime within hours of picking up my phone, and I use pretty much all of the features, including an icon pack and unread badge counts. Zero issues.

I have been using the 1weather widget since I got my phone and haven't seen an issue. I use the stock Pixel Launcher.

Thanks! Wonder if it's just my phone, still no freezing or reboot on pixel launcher. I've reinstalled nova twice and it still does the reboot.

While I do not have the Pixel, Nexus 6P here, I too am having issues with Nova launcher stopping and the only way to get it back is to reboot. I sent a couple of emails to support but to date I have not hear anything back yet.

I like Nova and used it for some time now but I cannot have the phone stop working randomly which requires a reboot to get things going again.
