I found this article revealing that Samsung changed their spec sheet on the S22 and S22+. Very interesting indeed. But my thoughts are if you're not scrolling on your screen, the screen whether it's 48hz or 1hz isn't going to drain your battery. It may be affected when you're slowly scrolling. Honestly though, I don't care if it goes down to 1hz or 48 or 60. Battery life hasn't been something I focus on much anymore. Heck, if you own a Samsung phone, you know how much "bloat" is on your phone and you have opinions on whether those apps are draining your battery or not. I personally like most Samsung apps. I used to be against Bixby, but routines has a lot of functionality and usefulness. I don't use Bixby voice assistant and wish it could be deleted or uninstalled. I don't worry about disabling apps to gain 10-20 extra minutes of screen time a day.
So I don't care too much about the refresh rate not being what they originally advertised. I hope nothing else changes about what was originally advertised.
