I called a google rep yesterday because I had a quick question about the Nexus 4. When he asked which model, I said 8gb, and he said "Hmmm.. I'm not sure if we still make that model, Let me check."

Is this a sign that the 8gb is being discontinued?

True. Even odds they were thinking about the 8GB Nexus 7 if Google CSR are like many other tech company CSR.
