International text messages and phone call fees?

Anyone know if my Thunderbolt can send and receive international text messages, say to China for example? If so, at what cost? I'm pretty sure this is not included in my unlimited text messaging plan. I've heard it may cost around 25 cents per each international text message?

Also, what if I make a phone call to China as an example? Is this possible, if so at what cost? Maybe a few dollars a minute I'm guessing? Thanks, Casey
