Well, here I am, talking to myself. I don't normally talk to myself, but I've been asked to introduce myself, and there's no one else in the room. So, as you can see, I look pretty much like this. I'm about this tall, and not very heavy. I'm really getting into running, and looking forward to the attempt of some frigid winter running.
Okay, to the meat of the intro. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S, and have had it for about a year. I migrated from Windows Mobile 6.5. I'd been a Pocket PC/WM user for almost a decade before I switched, and the switch was only my second smart phone. Before that was a Casiopeia BE300 (modded with X-pod, then BEE), followed by an HP rx3115 (my favourite of my PDAs), then a loaner HP H2110 before my biggie, HP hx2995. The 2995 still gets use in the house for a few games. After the last PDA, I got a Samsung Omnia, but I was never happy with the screen size, having gotten used to the bigger, but blockier, PDAs.
Having been a PDA user for many years, I was very pleased with my Galaxy S. I love the screen. To be clear about that, I love the screen. Black should be black. I'm also pleased that this device is really starting to do the things I always wanted my PDA to do for me. It even does some things I hadn't expected.
My primary uses are calendar/tasks, ebook reading, music player, email (was never before satisfied with portable email), running log, and puzzle games.
I can't go anywhere without my phone.
