Introducing Cid, the new CyanogenMod Mascot

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but I figure since it's one of the (if not the) most popular roms available, CM has retired Andy (the Cyan colored skateboarder, who I have a little figure of lol) and is replacing him with Cid.

Introducing Cid | CyanogenMod

Essentially, they wanted to separate themself from just an AOSP-based rom service, and CID reflects that maturity (at least in their eyes).

Thoughts?

I do too. I wonder what it'll do in the boot animation, b/c TBH, I never associated skateboarding with anything other than 13 year old disenfranchised youths and Tony Hawk.

Agreed. Gotta admit though that Andy was a light-hearted little guy. Cid, on the other hand, in 3 of the 4 images above, looks angry ... to each his own.

Still surf, skim, snowboard, bmx, mountain bike, kayak, and skydive when I get a chance too.

I'm NEVER growing up! Lol

Back on topic... I miss Andy. I agree though, doesn't make a difference really.

I was never a fan of the old or I guess current boot animation and hope they spice it up. I agree that losing the skate board would be a good thing but seeing that I have never changed my boot animations cause I don't really care even if its a pink unicorn. I rarely ever reboot except when flashing and wiping and then I never watch it so I don't care.
