Inventory Query - Verizon Stores Well Stocked?

I'm planning on dropping by my local Verizon store at about 5:00 pm on Thursday.

Does anyone know the word on stores stocking the DX? I've been stuck on a Storm 1 for 16 months now, and It's time for my jump to Android -- but I'm nervous they'll run out by the time I get there.

Anyone know what the deal is on stock?

My store here in NorCal said that they're expecting a shipment of 100-150. I should call on Tuesday because all stores should have their confirmed shipment quantity in by now, if not in the next day or so.

Even though all my friends will consider me crazy, I plan to go before the stores open at 8AM. Better safe than sorry, and who knows, maybe they'll give out stuff to the first couple of people lined up.

I'm in SoCal, the manager at the Verizon store I'm getting it at said they got over 30 last Thursday and a lot more (didn't specify) on the day of. I'm number 5 on the wait list.

my local store started getting phone shipments in on Friday, and they are expecting to have enough inventory for a couple weeks worth of DXs.

Here in Scottsdale and the manager said they will have 60 phones for Thursday morning and sounded like they would not have a problem with getting more phone quickly.

Yea, I'm heading into my local store today after work to ask them about stock/availability and see if I can get a phone saved for me on launch day (can't get off work ). I went in and talked to the rep the day after the phone was announced and he said i was only the second person to talk to him about it, so come launch day, he might be able to hook me up.

It's a smaller sized store though, so it probably won't get more than 20 units at most.

Saying that certain stores will be getting around 60, and that the Memphis VZW warehouse will only have like 10,000.

I am not so worried since I am number 4 in line at my VZW store. Supposed to get a call on the 14th so if I don;t get a call i will be calling them to see what the heck is going on.

My local store (not in a big city) has 55 on hand. That's pretty substantial.

I wont have a chance to pick one up until Friday. My local Verizon will not reserve one for me either. Frustrating...since I cancelled the Incredible after waiting 25 days or so.

I'm calling tomorrow. The verizon stores in Springfield, MO didn't give me an option to be on the "list" to get it. blah. I'll be there as soon as the doors open, buying my phone.

I am on the list for my local store, but they assured me that they will have plenty of phones. I told them I'll probably be in after work and the guy told me I should be able to count on going to bed with my phone. Which I plan on doing. Literally.

Why are you guys getting yours from the store? Just so you can get them early? Don't you miss out on the $100 online rebate if you get them from a Verizon store instead of their site?

Best buy has thousands of stores nationwide. If every store get's an even number of phones (unlikely) and the number of phones you're linking to is correct (60K) than that means each store will only get a few. So I don't think Best Buy is a good option unless you have a pre-order there.

Just go off the phone w/ the same store. They have 80 in stock, and may get another shipment in before Thursday. And although the store will open early at 8AM that morning, he told me that if they have enough people, they'll open the doors at 7:30AM instead.

Online = instant rebate
In Store or B&M = mail in rebate

Plus you are "guaranteed" you get the phone on the 15th in store and not the 16th online.
