Not really free since you have to trade in.I wouldn't mind to trade in my 3g,but they won't accept it. And not worth it for 5 or 5s.

The iPhone 6 Plus is a phone with a large screen. The Note series is unique, with the S-Pen and all the things it can do. I'm sure Apple wants you to think that the 6 competes with the Note, but it really doesn't. It's closest Android competition is the LG G3, which is available for $100, has a much higher resolutions screen (for what that's worth) and is much smaller.
My god, the 6+ is even taller and wider than my OnePlus, talk about bezel.
Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Visual phone size compare
If an Android phone have that much bezel right now it gets laugh at.
Thinner is not always better. I prefer phones at 1cm thickness and with good ergonomic design, I don't like phones at 8mm or less, maybe the iPhone 6 will be better to hold with all that curveness. I think that 1.5mm thicker is going to help in the long run with better battery life (even despite Touchwiz), probably water resistant design, and qi charging compatibility. Anyway, if an Android phone had that much bezel it would not be well accepted. So the Note, which isn't known for its small bezels, is 1mm wider, but 4.5mm shorter than the 6 Plus, which has a smaller screen. The 6 Plus is almost 1.5 mm thinner, though.
I'm reminded of the old cigarette commercial: "a silly millimeter longer." For all practical purposes, they're the same size. I just came back from the phone store, checking out a Note 3 for size. It's not awful. It's certainly not a one-handed phone, but for all practical purposes neither are the G3 or S5. It fits in my jeans pocket just fine, but it is less comfortable to hold for my relatively small hands. The 6 Plus is going to be the same. The G3, on the other hand, felt fine in my hand.
At least the Note offers a lot of additional functionality for its size.
