Is anyone else having poor results with the camera?

I have the 8mp AT&T version, and think I should still be able to have good quality images given that other cameras on the market(iPhone 5, 4S, Lumia 920, GS3) have similar cameras with much better images. I'm not looking for a dslr here, but come on. I've found low light photos are pretty darn grainy, and image stabilization is pretty terrible. This phone has some hot rod specs and is supposed to be LG's flagship. Similar experiences? Advice?

Here are my samples. Not GS3 or IP5 level,but not bad either. Haven't tried any action shots yet.
