Is anyone experiencing Galaxy S5 Smart Stay problem?

I don't have smart stay turned on but the little eye icon keeps popping up on my galaxy s5... Not sure what the deal is.

I am in Australia and I was using my smart stay with no problems up till a couple of months ago then it stopped working. The eye comes up while I am looking at the screen then it dims and turns off I have to touch the screen for it to stay on. Will check the front camera. My phone is stock SM G900I.

So my issue is that when I turn my S5 on its side looking at the screen, The eye icon stays on. Has anyone had this issue. It's annoying. Been trying to delete it entirely. But no luck.

Never gotten mine to work well at all. Another useless feature taking up memory.
