Is anyone leaving Rezound for a S III

speaking of htc radios, there is an HTC phone with a 4.7" screen that has issues with voice calls

I will stick with the much higher screen dpi of my rezound. Also Samsung is horrible about updates. I will wait for the next big thing from HTC. By the way i am flashing the newest version of Newt's One xXx rom right now. Sense 4 is awesome. He has fixed pretty much all of the bugs.

I agree with you and if unlimited data wasn't ending, then I would not consider the gs3

The Rezound is at least 6 MB faster then any other LTE phone I have on LTE in the Boston area is freaken fast, live in a suburb near Boston where on average during the day my DL speeds are usually over 24 MB down and 6 MB UP. During the off hours the speeds get allot faster. If I go around the corner from my house I can get speeds very close to 45 MB down and 15 up. Thank You Verizon Wireless.

I have two Carriers that I get great service from. Best of both worlds. Been with T-Mobile forever and joined Verizon right before their unlimited data plan had expired.

What program do u use to clock ur speeds? Bc I live in Boston and while I love verizons LTE network I don't get speeds anywhere near that consistently. I just used speedtest.net and only got 10 mbps dl and its 1 am not exactly peak hours.

I'll periodically check LTE speeds in the Boston areaand normally clock in between 10-15 mbps dl speeds using speedtest.net on my rezound. I have seen it go up to 25 mbps but that was a lot more frequent back in Nov' 11 when there were far less people on the network. I've never seen anything in the 30's let alone 40's.

Im not trying to imply ur making up those speeds but do wonder why we wld have such different results on the same network in the same city w the same phone. Also I drive for a living and am a geek so I'm constantly checking speeds in different areas w both traffic monitor and speedtest. I'm my experience speedtest tends to report higher dl speeds then traffic monitor. I'm not sure why that is either?

Sorry not trying to derail thread but am curious about how we cld b getting such a discprency in speeds. I just did a cpl more tests and got10 mbps another 10 mbps and then 15 mbps, this is at 130 am.

I just went thru my saved results and the fastest I've ever recorded since nov'11 was around 25 mbps down and 7 mbps. Which area of Boston do u get consitent 25 mbps? Is it possible my phones radio isn't up too snuff? I'm running stock so I'm wondering if mayb ics will yield faster dl speeds.

Also want to reitterate that I drive for living so my record of speed tests is from all over the Boston area.

In an effort to stay relevant to the thread there is no way I'd trade in my rezound for a sg3. I truly luv this phone in everyway. I know some people prefer the bold colors of amoled but ill take my super LCD screen with a higher dpi then the iPhone everytime.

I'm constantly reading tech blogs and surfing web so the crisp txt of the rezounds screen is really important to me. The only phone I'd consider as replacement wld b the x one but wo a removable battery even that's a non-starter for me.

Many variables on speed, not just time including but not limited to location of tower, signal between tower and yourself, network load, load on the test server. Personally, I have seen over 60mbps but at the same location I have also seen in the teens.
