Is anyone on Project Fi yet?

Ugh, not great news. When did you guys who got that email sign up, day 1 I assume?

I unfortunately didn't request until Day 3. No 'delay' email yet.

Yes, I signed up day 1. Several hours after they officially launched

I applied within a hour or two at most of launch. But I still got the same email. Dang it!

Yeah, same thing, within a few hours of the announcement.

Signed up within minutes of the opening and got that email. I'm in Southern California.

I wonder of those who received the invitation if there is a deadline for you accept/request the Nexus6 or the Sim Card only? Or otherwise you lose the offer and will have to request a new invitation?

I am officially on Project Fi.

Got the dreaded "delay" email ("We're sending invites as quickly as we can, while ensuring a high-quality experience. Given the number of requests we’ve received, we currently estimate that it will take until mid-summer to get to everyone.") like many others, and resigned myself to potentially weeks if not months of delay ...

Instead, got my invite email yesterday "We're excited to invite you to Project Fi. Earlier on, you requested an invite, and now we're ready to bring you onboard. Just click the button below to sign up or head to fi.google.com/signup" and signed up (SIM only) yesterday PM and also separately ordered a Nexus 6 from Motorola (I already have a Moto Credit account).

So, now just waiting for my Fi SIM and Nexus 6 orders to arrive ....

Will the carrier locked Nexus 6 (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile) work with Project Fi or do we need the unlocked version?

No Nexus 6 is technically locked, so yes they would all work. I hear AT&T Sim locks their Nexus 6 (somehow), but it still supports Fi, once the sim lock is removed.

An unfortunate caveat that I have since discovered and need to double check with you...does it work in Hangouts (giving hope to all Google Voice users that we might get it) or is it only in the new Google Messenger app?

Thanks for replying

The more important question is whether it works after enabling the optional Hangouts integration that gives you multi-device access. That is the component that is currently missing when talking about Google Voice. Because using the Hangouts app as a standard messaging app (meaning that device only) works fine for group MMS.

Group messaging works via Hangouts as SMS. Group messages hang as "sending" whenever I try to send it via MMS.

And this is with the optional hangouts integration enabled?
