Is anyone on Project Fi yet?

Re: Horrible reception and speed in full green area

I wanted to get one through the fi program to both have a chance at a welcome package, and to get it financed so I could expense out the phone as well as the service for my business. Going on four weeks though without fi getting any 64gb phones in. Looks like their waiting and trying to get rid of what they have of the nexus 6 before the october launch of their two new phones. Appreciate the suggestion though.

My understanding (easily incorrect) is that the Welcome package is based on the order of the sim chip, not the phone itself. But yeah, I've been wondering about the new phones, too. That could be rough, though, if they aren't going to make the new Nexi compatible with Fi.

Re: Horrible reception and speed in full green area

check out Swappa at swappa.com you can find a used one very easily. I've purchased all of my phones over the last few years here

Re: Horrible reception and speed in full green area

I signed up for Fi and brought my own Nexus6 that I got off of Swappa. Got my sim and welcome kit in the mail together.

Re: Horrible reception and speed in full green area

Checked swappa Only two 64gb phones listed and both are almost full retail. $510 Still not helping at all. thanks though. if it were substantially cheaper that might be a option but I need to be able to expense it out.

Re: Horrible reception and speed in full green area

After a web chat with Google, I discovered that I was somehow never added to a list for the welcome kit. The rep added me and I received the kit a week later.

Re: Horrible reception and speed in full green area

I got my invite in June. After deciding we will be ditching Sprint, just waiting for my wife to get her invite (just put in yesterday, I thought I submitted hers at the same time I did in April, but must;ve forgotten to!).

Not sure, at least 2 months for me. I don't remember when I signed up for the invite.

I heard that Google was out of welcome kits for now. They expect to get more in and will send them out when they get them.

I've been searching to see if anyone in the Finger Lakes area has tried Fi... I'm in the Finger Lakes region and I've got the Nexus 5x on VZW and have been clinging to the unlimited data...until they told me they were upping the monthly cost another $20. I just don't use that much data since I'm in WiFi most of the time but when I travel I definitely use more. If I had something reasonably priced like Fi where it flexed that might suit me better... but Big Red really seems to be the only reasonable carrier in terms of service in this area. Since I've finally said that they can have the unlimited data back at the end of this month I'm SERIOUSLY considering giving Fi a shot... but I doubt there are many (if any) in this region that would give it a shot so I can't find any testimonials for it locally... Where in the Finger Lakes were you? How bad were the issues?
