I switched to ART a few weeks ago and did not have any problems. Didn't see any performance improvements in responsiveness or battery life either.

When I switched mine over a few months ago I remember running into little bugs (can't recall specifics though). I also didn't notice any increase in performance, so I switched back. It's probably best just to wait for L.

I tried it when I first picked up my S5 four months ago. I didn't notice anything other than buggy performance in some apps at the time (doubleTwist, the Samsung messaging app, and a handful of others). I switched it back as I didn't want to have to run through testing every app. Plus I was relying on doubleTwist at the time for my music syncing and playback needs (something I have since switched back to now that they have ironed out some of their bugs).
