is Droid mini a world phone with sim unlocked to use abroad

Wondering if my droid mini works in asia with gsm carriers. Are there any steps to make it work.

It should work for 2G/3G (although LTE compatibility will depend on the carrier)--see the Droid Mini's bands here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/google-nexus-6/700719-system-ui-has-stopped.html#post5268131

All of Verizon's LTE phones are supposed to be unlocked already, but you might want to call Verizon and confirm with them that it'll work if you just plug in an Asian SIM.
