Does anyone know if DT Ignite is preloaded on the Note 8? Verizon added it to the Note 4 in one of their updates. Soon after I started having apps installed with permission set. I found out they were installed via DT Ignite. I disabled DT Ignite and now have a app installed that monitors to make sure it does not get reenabled.

I am hoping Verizon does not still install DT Ignite.

Yes it's still on there but I disabled it today when I got my Note (Verizon). I've been disabling it since day one

Very sad to see Verizon would insist on DT Ingnite. The program is a close to a virus as you can get on your phone.

I've wondered whether it's ACTUALLY disabled or it just falsely lets you think that.

Can't find it on mine? Viewing system apps is turned on, still can't see it...

Can't find it on mine either. Disabling DT Ignite is the first thing I do on every phone but I cannot find it on my 8. Anyone else find it?

think I found the new DT ignite Note 8

Its the same icon. Pretty sure this is it with the name changed to Mobile service manager? Just not 100% going to research it.

That's it! If you force stop it then uninstall it it will change to DT Ignite. Sneaky buggers. Thanks for figuring this out!

Lol yes I saw that also when I disabled it. They sure tried to hide it.

Yeah it looks like they gave it a new name on the Note 8 ("mobile service manager") versus DT Ignite.

It's there for me as Mobile Service Manager. Thanks for the reminder, it's now disabled.

Ps - mine also went back to DT ignite after the uninstall.

ok i have to know.. what is dt ignite?
Verizon installs DT Ignite on their phones. They say it is for remote diagnostics. But after it was installed with the 6x update on my Note 4 apps started appearing on my phone (2 games and a remote app) with permissions set. I found out the apps were installed by DT Ignite. I view the app as a virus app from Verizon. Last I heard Verizon has stopped using it to dump apps on phones.

Gotcha. Thanks!

I just DISABLED Mobile Services Manager (verizon Note8) and I don't see DT Ignite is it buried in another app menu? I also dont see a "disabled" Mobile Services Manager icon tho. It's just gone.

Showing System Apps reveals a Mobile Serives Manager app icon with "disabled" next to it. No signs of DT Ignite.
