Is Google going to update android soon?

This glitchy OS is frustrating as hell. Now you can't hit the home button without whatever search engine you have installed popping up and requiring like 5-6 presses of the home button to actually get home. I have an S5 and so far this is the worst smartphone experience I have had. Google needs to fix ASAP!

What Android version do you have? KitKat or Lollipop? If you're on KK, then yes, Google has updated Android, Samsung has built a version of 5.0.1 for the S5, and your carrier will push the update to Lollipop 5.0.1 out to you sometime soon. If you're on Lollipop 5.0.1 already, then you'll have to wait for Samsung to code Lollipop 5.1 for the S5, then gives it to your carrier so they can send you the update. (I just want to point out, Google doesn't send out the updates for a Samsung phone, or a Motorola phone, etc. Each manufacturer has to develop a version of the current Android build for their phone.) Hope I explained that well enough.
