[ Will try to move it to SD card today ]

I moved (using drag n drop) the file to SD card, but says 'no image'. Was I suppose to move to SD card with WinZip, thats what it downloaded to. When I try to open file on PC with Winzip, I get an message: 'error: Central directory not found'. I am a nube, but can follow step by step directions well.

Thank you again, it is trying to activate. I pulled the battery n the SD card and have restarted a couple times, looks OK! In the above instructions, when in hboot I also had to choose Recovery under Fastboot.

I think so. I can't get past the activation screen without activating it. The phone is not for me, it's for resale. Is there a way to get to the home screen w/o activation?

Just go throught the activation, do what you need to do, and then factory reset.
