Is It Me or Does Voice-to-Text Suck?

No friend, you're not alone. Most times it works OK but today I just wanted to spell check DESULTRY or DESULTORY. I spoke slowly & clearly several times into my TAB 4 & the result was absolute ****e!!! I ended up shouting at the tablet like a demented being!!

The translations are horrible. I will say a sentence like a robot hoping it will pick it up clearly and it spits out something completely different. What's shown kind of ryhmes but I am speaking clearly into the phone.

It was perfect on my S6, but I've always noticed this difference since I switched to the S7.

Am I alone?

You Are Not Alone, I could say anyting for example, perfectly clear and, it would come out kindergarten school! Utterly ridiculous!

This fix worked perfect - I knew that last update had to have reset something that made the voice-to-text go all to crap.
Thank you!

you are not alone. when i speak, it types gibberish. seldom does it ever get anything right. seems like it keeps getting worse too. its a complete failure. to clear any confusion up, this is GOOGLE VOICE TO TEXT that isnt worth a crap

I said, "it will be May in 4 days". It kept typing out Mets instead of may. I said the word extremely clearly. Why is it so inaccurate?

I'm convinced voice to text is getting worse!!
With my S6, it works great. With my S7, it is horrible.
NO, it is not my pronunciation that is the problem!
Here are some examples:
"In honor of Joel" turned to "Connor Pattro"
"Tough day today" turned to "After 8 today"
I could go on with the list.
These are not the steaks from pronunciation. These are translation mistakes.
I've also had a change pronouns from his to their.

All the recommendations I see online are worthless.
The problem is not how we speak.
The problem is the algorithm.
I think they introduce what they thought was a smarter version in the S7, but it's horrible.

Hello, I'm new to the forum.

I think most of the time you need a quiet environment or a third-party app that requires voice dictation.

I would recommend Google Docs
for voice typing Because Google Docs has the same technology as Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

For Galaxy S phones I would recommend speech notes for Android phones old and newer models. it has an 87 percent accuracy I believe?

By the way, most of this response is voice-typed.
