Is it safe to pry out the Bixby button?

I had the S8 Plus then the regular S8 and I honestly don't think I accidentally hit it more than once. I see loads of complaints about it so I'm certainly not denying people's issue with it. I hated the Finger Print Sensor location whilst many others found it ok so Samsung really need to look at both placements for the S9 I reckon
I hit it enough to make it a pain. I don't want or use either Bixby or Google now so it's a good thing to just be able to disable it without a third party app.

No, don't do it! It will void your warranty! Luckily you can disable the Bixby button!

why on earth would you intentionally damage your phone?

Just boggles my mind that a 1000 dollar phone and you are asking whats the worst that can happen, please talk me outta it!

like idek anymore about mankinds future.......Like for reals.

Buy a case that covers the buttons, pry out the case's Bixby button... safer, cheaper.

Push some big league chew in there and let it settle and harden. Then, grab an old shoe (preferably one from the late '50s - early '60s with the heel broken off ¾ of the way up to the sole) and place the newly big league chewed phone inside the shoe, facing down diagonal left. Place the shoe in a metal handle bucket filled with dried romaine lettuce and place the bucket in the oven at 350° for 37 minutes. Be sure to set your timer. When the timer goes off, it's done. Reach in with your bare hands while it's hot and grab the bucket by the metal handle. Burn your hands for 13 seconds and then drop the bucket. Look at your freshly burnt hands while you contemplate how stupid all of this was. Repeat as necessary.

It still works if you hold it and give a command. Just pressing it and it opening Bixby home screen is all that's disabled.

I received the latest TMO update, which allows me to diasble the Bixby button in the Bixby settings. Woohoo!
