Is my screen just broken (blacked screen) or is the entire phone broken?

So, I ended up throwing my phone with full force to the ground on Friday. (don't ask why because I don't want to talk about it. Friday was a really awful day for me) My screen protector cracked, but not my actual screen which surprised me. So, I when I tried to turn my phone on, it would just vibrate, but the screen will remain black. So,I know the phone turns on because it vibrates and I feel the phone heating up like normal, but the screen just remains black. Also, when I plug it in the charger, the LED light isn't red but the phone vibrates. So, does this mean that the screen is just broken and I need to get it replaced? Thanks for the help.

P.S. I have a new phone (LG V10). If you're wondering why I want to try and fix my old phone, the reason is that I didn't backup everything from the G3 so I don't have everything. I got most of the important stuff on the V10, but there are still important things I need from the G3.

Hello! It sounds like you damaged several internals when you dropped it. It's hard to say. Is there anywhere you can take it to have it looked at?

There is a store in my mall that fix screens such as cracked screens and replacing screens that are black. I can take it to them to see if they know.

You should be able to boot the phone (it may or may not be booting, but if it's just the screen then it should boot normally) and then stick a usb cable into it and attach it to a computer to pull data off it. Good luck.
