I've used Nova launcher prime in the past on many of phones and was just wondering if it was a bad idea to use it on the Note 7?
I just hate to junk up my brand new phone with too much crap.

What ya think?

Changing launchers is a normal function of Android. It won't mess with anything.

If you load it and do a force stop on the TW launcher, then it should have no bearing on performance.

Good to see Posts about other things than recall, get back to normal. I love Nova, use it on every phone. No problem on my Note 7's.

Just dont enable the accessorie service function for the nova launcher as it will slow down some aspect of the phone. The feature I speak of is the one that require to be turn on if you using the launcher gesture controls to swipe down to pull down the notification anywhere on the screen.

I used a launcher on my note 7 when I had it and it ran great

I'm using Nova Prime on my Note 7. It works just fine. No problems at all.

I had 4 different launchers installed on my Note 7. I switched them out whenever I felt like it.

It was fine.

My experience on my note 4 and 7 is that Nova is faster than the stock launcher also more customizable

Using it now on my N7. No problems. I also turn off animations to make it really fast.

I'm using Google Now launcher (or whatever it's about to be re-named to) on my N7 without any issue.

Do you happen to have the steps on Force Stopping the TW launcher?

It should be settings>application manager. The TW launcher should be in the list somewhere. Click on it, and click force stop.

There is a possibility that the force stop option may not be possible. A lot of OEMs disable that for their system apps, and the launcher might be one of them.
