Is owning a Nexus 6 in 2016 worth sticking with?

Very true. I don't really need a fingerprint scanner because I always have my device in my pocket or in my hand a lot of the time. Plus I can't understand the concept of adding and extra step to use the phone. Security wise I can understand but its not a big deal to me. Yeah I'm gonna save my money. :-)

While I say stick with N6, I want to clear something up: fingerprint scanner does not add an extra step to unlocking your phone. In fact, it takes steps out. With the Nexii from last year (5X and 6P) you don't even have to turn your screen on to unlock your phone: you put your finger on the scanner, your phone unlocks AND it turns on the screen. Without the FPS, you have to turn on the screen, swipe up, and enter your password. That's 1 step with FPS, 3 without.

I have N6 and I'm borrowing a 5X from a friend. While the FPS makes it a bit more convenient to unlock your phone, it really doesn't matter. Stick with your N6

Until I can get a phone with a 6in screen and pure Android I am sticking worth my N6

Absolutey IMO!

I'm just back to the N6; been through the iPhone 6 Plus / 6S Plus, Nexus 6P, Note 5 920CD, S7 Edge (horrible phone) and now back to what I know best :)

It's running the Android N beta OS and it's faultless...

If you want a big, decent spec phablet and Vanilla Android, you can't do better IMO

Now that the rumors about the 2016 Nexus lineup not including a phone with a display > 5.5" are really ramping up, it looks like sticking with the Nexus 6 is exactly what I'll be doing for the rest of 2016. And 2017, too.

We might never see a greater than 5.5 inch Nexus ever again.

Ha,ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! I was on Blackberry for last two years and one month ago bought a like new, N6 32GB for $200 and a 64GB for $290. It's been like Christmas! Will I stay with my Nexus 6's, well heck yeah, it's all relative, it's all relative. Also, jumped on the Project Fi deal for both. Great phone's.

I have the Nexus 6 since Dec 2016.
I checked 6P, 5X but I prefer N6.
I used to change my phones 3-6 months but for some reasons I can't find a good replacement for the N6.
I am glad I did not upgrade because of all the new tech announced at last Google IO
Since you'll be getting your N6 in a few months, what are you using now?

More so for me now that the Note 7's are exploding whilst charging

There's only the 6P and Note 5 I'd consider and having owned them both, I know they're excellent mobiles!

Just prefer the overall size and feel of the N6 in my hand!

I've had my Nexus 6 for just over a year now. I plan on using it at least another year. It's a great device.

I just bought mine new / never activated on Swappa. It's my first nexus device and I love it. Honestly I used to chase the latest snapdragon quad core (insert whatever else I don't understand here) but my days of spending twice as much for the "latest and greatest" are over. Especially since the nexus / pixel devices will get the software upgrades right away they will always do more than what I need them too. Again, I love this phone!

I would hold onto it. Works fine, not really missing anything. N beta seemed to run fine enough. I'm gonna wait till next year personally...

I bailed about a month ago & bought the Moto Z Force on release day. I'm much happier due to:
- improved battery life
- improved responsiveness
- much, much faster camera (as well as better quality photos)
- much easier to handle

However, the Z Force is a pricey phone, and the Nexus 6 can be had for 1/3-1/2 the price, so it's not a fair comparison. The N6 is still a very good phone.

Back to my N6 4 fro some of the same phones you mentioned; most WP. Nougat is running great and I don't find the camera terrible. I'm 71 and somewhat of a geek but I want what I use to just work. The N6 meets these requirements.

There's no reason to upgrade yearly, especially now that phone prices are upwards of $700. There's not a ton of innovating going on.

I plan on keeping my Nexus 6 until a carrier offers me a free phone that beats it, or until around early 2018.

It depends what's important to you. I currently own a Nexus 6 and Nexus 6p. I generally use my 6. I like the larger display and how durable it is.

I bought a Nexus 6, and just opened it up today. Wow - I heard it was a large phone, but had no idea. Based on what I am seeing no more need for my iPad mini. I wanted a phone that could double as a tablet, looks like I might have made the right choice. I know see what everyone has been talking about. I was using a 5x which I will keep as back up, otherwise I think this was a wise purchase!

Glad to hear that you like the Nexus 6!

Personally I like my Nexus 6 for the same reasons, and also the stereo speakers!

Congrats! This is me every time I power mine up, after ~17 months no less.
