Is PIN / Fingerprint required to power off the U11?

[Android Central Question]

I've just discovered that my S7 Edge require my pin or print in order to turn off the phone. I've been waiting for this feature forever after having 2 phones stolen and immediately powered down over the years. I was thinking of upgrading to the U11 before I discovered this. Can anyone check if it's necessary or if anyone can power down the phone?

I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

Unfortunately, no password or PIN is required to power off the U11 on stock ROM.
