Is the camera any better?

oh yeah one huge thing to note! in addition to the auto capitalization, smart Lock and photo quality being crappy... there's a pretty decent shutter lag no matter which photo mode I'm in when I'm outdoors. so even with excellent lighting there is still a shutter lag.

Upside down images, blurred images, shutter lag? What's the problem?! Wow.

Which do you like better?

Looked at them on PC. Not sure why those landscape shots seem like there was no sun on S20 and lots of sun on N10. I took pictures within few seconds of each other.
S20 has a bit more details on all shots except for ultra wide angle. 64mp shots I wasn't able to upload, they are a bit darker but have alot more details. That's basically how you get zoom from this camera. I wish I had Pixel with me. I'll compare it to Pixel next and then decide return or keep

Not sure which is more true to life, but I honestly like the colors on the Note pics better.

I haven't seen shutter lag at all. I'm wondering if that isn't getting confused with slow shutter speeds.

When I speak of shutter lag I meant when I press the circle to when it captures. For example this photo I press the button while my dog is in the air and it takes the photo while my dog is in the air. This is on the Pixel 4 XL. On the S20 ultra when I press the button while the dog is in the air I get a picture of the dog on the ground landing.

Posting the image EXIF information as a separate screenshot would be helpful to show the exposure information, so we can better determine if the shutter speed is to slow to stop a particular action.

The only pictures I could take, nothing pretty :) This is P4

*Night shots are with and without night mode, and zoom shot is 8x

Thats S20. I think S20 did a good job, but when I took pictures of my son, things changed P4 was a bit better.

I can also say that skin tones DID improve and now indoor shots look better. As far as shutter lag, it's the same on both Note10 and S20, Pixel has no lag.

Well everybody on my Instagram is going crazy on how clear my videos look in my stories... they always joked about they use to be blurry..

Someone else has the problem

My guess is because these are Samsung provided review units. They pick and choose who gets these pre-release phones to review. Must be nice for Samsung to pick you. Would be nice if Samsung picks you the next time too. Notice some people like Droid-Life don't get pre-release phones all the time and they have mentioned that at times too.

I was not referring to pre-release reviews. I was referring to reviews of phones' cameras more generally.

I'll get into my main disappointment first. Video recording is horrendous, I'm getting a lot compression artifacts and it's very jittery looking like its recording at 15fps. I don't think this phone has the update however.

108mp is nice in bright light outdoors.

Zoom is great.

Night mode indoors is brilliant. Best with the main sensor, good with wide angle, don't bother with the zoom lens if very dark.

The poor video recording is going to be a deal breaker for me if I don't get a update soon and it fixes it. My S10 is leaps and bounds better filming except for the zoom. The look of 15fps with potato phone artifacting isn't going to cut it.

I get the feeling we won't see the camera update until the first wave of units return time has expired
