Hey guys since the note 2 is about to drop and if this has been covered on a thread about this i do apologize. Is this feature ever coming to the GS3?? That kinda sucks that sammy would leave us GS3 owners on such a cool feature i was blown away when i saw the youtube vid about it.

It is not likely. The note is being billed as the tablet phone. That feature is more of a tablet feature then a phone feature and the S3 is billed as just a phone.

Damn auto correct. You always end up posting some thong you didn't Nintendo.

The Palm Pre had this feature years ago and it was smooth as silk. (and almost half the size of the GS3) A simple scroll up gesture and your current app turns into a window about 50% of its original size. Swipe to the left or right to see other windows of your previous programs. Just tap one of them and it opens ready for action. It was a beautiful interface. Would love to see a developer bring it back. (to the GS3 maybe?) :)

Long-press the Home button. You get a scrollable list of recently run apps, including any running in the background, as thumbnails to open with a single tap.

Not even close to the same. It is clumsy, but at least it's there.

Thanx for all the reply guys i think the GS3 is large enough 4.8" that pleanty of space and it packs the power to do it but will see

I would be happy just to get Jelly Bean.

Most likely not getting that feature. A good way to think of it is that its a feature that only the Note has, put it on another phone, it doesn't make it special

I so miss the WebOS interface. The S3 running it would be amazing! Maybe we will see an Open WebOS in the near future.

The GS3 is definitely capable of doing multiple windows, since it already has the picture-in-picture mode when watching videos, and I don't think it would be that much different.

But because it's up to Samsung's software developers & executives on whether they want to include this feature in their flagship device, I wouldn't hold my breath on this coming anytime soon or at all.

I'm sure it'll be ported to the SIII. If you're not rooted or into custom roms, you're not likely to see it.

Yes! Yes! we will get the update after all this is the flagship phone, not a tablet but it deserves it nevertheless so it is said so shall it be written, so shall it be!
