True, true. But I still think the 3XL's notch will be uglier than them all...
The notch isn't a deal breaker for me.
It's still to early for me to decide if I'm going to update to the P3 yet tho.
By Oct 1st I will know if I will update or not
What good is a notch to someone who primarily uses their phone in landscape orientation?
I'm glad to know this now. It's not only a deal breaker for the Pixel 3 XL, but for the 2 XL as well..
I own both the 2 XL and the LG V30. I was going to switch my daily driver back to the Pixel, but with that notch coming down the road, I'll take my chances that LG will skip the notch on the V30.
That's my issue with it, too. Those extra bits aren't enough to claim that you're getting a more immersive viewing experience even when the 2 halves of your status bar aren't showing, so what's the point? The extra two bits of screen won't be of any use.
Sorry for confusing you. It is just a test item for developers in developers options. It isn't a "feature" of the Pixel 2 XL in Android P. You most certainly do NOT need a notch in the 2XL and if you don't activate the feature in developers options you will never even know that the test notch even exists.I'm glad to know this now. Are you using a Pixel device at the moment?
Sure the OLED is better than LCD in terms of brightness.
Yes I have both the OG Pixel (sailfish) and the Pixel 2 XL Panda . I use them on seperate lines .
Both are on Android P beta
