Is the Pixel 3 the 2018 Phone of the year?

I think the Note 9 it just such a different beast. So unique, use case so specific. It will always be in a category by itself, IMO.

Now as for the field...

Pixel 3 generation - Just too much smarts. Nothing comes close.
iPhone XS generation - Hard to beat the best "out of the box" experience.
Samsung 9 generation - Great hardware and every feature including the kitchen sink

Everything else is an "also ran".

The one company I'm telling now it's not there yet , it's going be OnePlus
They new since 13 or 14 but they are doing a lot of the little things right , everyone has to start from somewhere but this company and it's vision how to succeed is going to catch everybody by surprise. They already getting on with one carrier and that goes well it's going be good for them . So they are the uprising company . Trust me I Kno there's lot of hate for them , I even bashed them until I own the 1+6 . I'm not crazy for Chinese company or phones but you have to give credit where credit is do . Hardware and software side .

It's software and speed I haven't seen a phone touch it ...no lags ever and I had it since launch. Hardware wise it's up there all glass with best material other flagships have . It just works flawless don't Kno what the engineer team has done but props to them

So Speed, then? I think one of their marketing phrases "Fast and smooth. Get the speed you need."

I just put it in the "also ran" category b/c I'm not sure what their want cornerstone to be. Like LG... If their cornerstone is to cater to the audiophiles, I don't know why they don't just lean all marketing in that direction. LG should be partnering with music services, give away a fee album or 30 days of Spotify or something, whatever.

One Plus..? I don't know what they want to do, so they end up in the "miscellaneous" bin in my mind.

They gave a barebones stock ui with little tweaks here and there that not over bearing like in other companies but useful. They not going compete against Google in the Ai segment I don't think at this point any company can . But if you want a phone to just work with few tweaks for little less money with good hardware then it's for you. Mario brings up good point about trusting them which I'll agree but so far no issues . I mean all them are trying get our data Facebook, Google, Apple,Samsung. They are no different .

Don't forget they are pretty new company and need to learn things on the way , they will make mistakes but overall I think they will be ok

LG I had high hopes for them but just dont seem to find that balance. I think they will eventually leave phone market unless something dramatic happens.

Maybe we ought to wait until people like....have the phone in hand.

I like the article in the Verge I think... the Pixel is important because the hardware and OS are under control by one company.

But the reviews on the cameras have been surprisingly mixed.

I think only some time can tell if the Pixels are really as good as everyone here is saying.

You Kno what software experience feels ? Think of the pixel with Nova on it . Very fluid and very fast with right customization
2. 845 8gb ram Bluetooth 5.0 128 storage with very well built hardware. What ? One plus you have no business doing that for 580.00 with a case and freaking film screen protector on it .
Ok it has a 1080p screen so what
It has no wireless charging
No water proofing
It will charge your phone faster then any phone out there
It's the fastest most fluid phone I've used ...all IAM saying is you got to respect what they have done . You know who I think is catching on is Apple , they offfering the Xr with lcd display with all the specs of the other iPhones at what price ? 750.00 you gonna say camera , come on even the other flagships have hard time against Google , but it does it's job and won't disappoint. If you get a chance to play with one try it out . Not for everyone
Anyway I can't wait for the pixel 3xl
