Is the quick charging limited by the USB cable?

So the cable i got with my S6 is relatively short compared to the old samsung cable i had before. My question is, is the Quick charging really affected by the USB cable that comes in the box too? or can i use my longer cable with the wall quick charging plug that came in the box?

Any USB cable should work just fine. I haven't had one fail yet that I own.

I used an old LG cable and it seemed to work fine as long as I used a quick charge 2.0 wall plug.
