Is the S22 Ultra still worth it?

Bit the bullet! I ordered a green 512gb s22u last night and ups says it should arrive by 7pm tomorrow. Couldn't pass up $800 trade value for my Pixel 4a5G.

WOW! What a great deal you got! And a speedy delivery time, too! Let us know when it comes, and please post pictures of your shiny new green S22 Ultra! The green is so beautiful!

I am in a situation where I might get to upgrade my work provided phone soon when we get a new hire in our department. I am using an S21+ now and I had always loved my Notes when I had them. I know everyone will say wait for the S23 it's right around the corner but I might not have that luxury. The main reason I will get to upgrade is because we are looking to hire someone new and I would upgrade my phone and pass mine down. I have thought about the Pixel as well but the modem/signal issues turn me away. Maybe the 7 will be announced before I get the chance to upgrade. But I have seen so many mixed feelings about the S22 Ultra and that it has been a disappointing device in terms of battery and such.

Just curious what people thought on the S22 Ultra 7 months after release.
Personally speaking the 22 Ultra is fantastic. I have the 512 GB 12 GB ram version. Amazing camera. I was a Note fan Big Time, but prefer this phone to the last note that came out. Especially coming from a plus and not an ultra, I think you'll be quite pleased with the performance upgrade.

This thing is amazing!! I was nervous about leaving my pixel, but I'm very happy so far!

The pixel has too many issues this year I tried the 6a and on 13 it was totally crazy to use.
Well I came from the 4a5G so it was pretty stable, my wife has the p6pro and I almost got one of those but there's just been too many ups and downs about it for me so I figured I'd try Samsung

That sounds like a safe idea! How are you liking your Samsung device?

It's been great so far, just gotta get a case for it because it's kinda awkward to use with nothing on it but I still really like it.
believe it or not, I've been using my S22U (white) without a case for a couple of months. you'd expect it'd be very slippery, and it is. however, as long as I don't treat my phone like I do my jeans when I throw them in the hamper, I'm fine. I climb up into and down out of a truck every day. if I drop it, I'm toast. and if I'm in a particularly blue-collar sort of day, I have a couple of cases to choose from to protect the phone. I'm just surprised at how secure my phone is in my hand without a case. (probably just being extra careful lol)

I take the case off mine at home. :)

Oh, my GOODNESS! So smart of you to cash in on that deal when you did!

I got a black one, 512 GB model, just showed up a couple of days ago. Got my eSIM working finally so I have my work and personal phones as one. Just finding out now that there's no ability to have separate profiles for each card, no business profile, I've asked corporate if they have anything set up so I can keep the two separate, no answer yet. I find the switching of SIM cards for data usage mildly annoying and I'm still sending texts from the wrong phone number on occasion, hopefully I can train myself fast before I start texting work contacts from my personal number.

I also use the eSIM for my work line. I have also had issues where I accidentally text a work contact from my personal line. I have even set the sim for their contact in the address book but it still doesn't always go by that. It is annoying that you have to switch sims for data. But if you are talking about being able to send MMS messages on the secondary sim that is only an issue with google messages on the phone itself. If you log into messages.google.com in a web browser on a computer and pair your phone they go through fine there. It is some limitation with the google messages app. Samsung messages app works fine sending and receiving MMS on both sims without having to switch the primary sim. I also made the change in the settings of the phone app to have it ask me which sim to use for every call. Mildly annoying but has prevented me from accidentally calling a work contact with my personal line.
