Is the samsung galaxy gear s compatible with the samsung Note 2?

I'm considering the samsung galaxy gear s watch to help at work. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and 2 as wondering of they are compatible?

Welcome to Android Central! The phone has to be on Android 4.3 or higher. What version does yours has?

I used my Gear S with my international version Note 2 for a year before upgrading to the LG watch urbane 2 LTE and a Moto X Pure. There is a very limited compatibility list that you can not even look up on the Samsung site (they direct you to the list posted on the ATT site), which does not include the Note 2 if I remember correctly, but it worked for me anyway, so you may want to give it a try.

Not all Samsung phones with 4.3 and above will work, sadly.
