Is there a "Change Screen Resolution" feature on NOTE 10?

Android Central Question

I have a new Note 10. I was reading that a way to extend battery life is to change your screen resolution from the highest setting to the medium setting. To do that you should be able to go to Setting/Display/Screen Resolution. I do not seem to have the “Screen Resolution” option on my Note 10. My brother’s S9 has that option which makes me think it’s weird the much newer Note 10 doesn’t have it. I saw videos about it working but I wonder if it’s just a feature on the Note 10+. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Is there a "Change Screen Resolution" feature on NOTE 10?

This option is under display in settings , now if you have medium power saving mode on you can't change it there , you'll have to pull the notification panel down and long press battery icon (power management) select medium power save mode but make adjustments to screen resolution. In medium power save mode your resolution is medium already unless you adjust it there .

Hi Mustang7757!
Turns out I was already a member. I musta signed up after a few beers. All this time I was wondering how to reply back to posts...know I know :-) Thanks!
Sooo I'm sorry I'm still confused on how to find the Screen Resolution setting on Note 10. If I understand you right I need to pull down the notification panel to get to the battery icon. Here is what happens when I do 2 different things.

#1-I pull down the Notification Panel- I tap the battery icon "Power Mode". It takes me to a screen that says "Medium power saving mode. Then I have options like "Turn off Always On Display" & "Limit CPU speed 70%". Then there is Brightness -10% - Options to Cancel or Apply.

#2-I pull down the Notification Panel- I tab & hold down the battery icon "Power Mode". - I get a selection of different Power Mode options. Currently its set to the 2nd option "Optimized". From top to bottom it "High Preformance" - "Optimized" Medium power" - "Maximum power". Below these is the option "Adaptive power saving" which is currently off. I switched it to Medium & it took me to the same screen & options as stated in the above #1.

So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the pictures. I'm curious are you doing those steps & taking those screenshots with a Note 10 & not a Note 10+? I have 4 pictures of what I'm getting when I try to follow your steps. The 1st one is what it looks like when I switch power from Medium to High performance. The next shows the phone is on high performance mode. The 3rd shows the Battery setting & that it's on high performance. The Last one is the Display setting screen. As you can see there is no "Screen Resolution option like you are showing. Do you think I should put the phone back to defualt settings? Maybe I tweaked something wrong. Thanks!

Keeping in high performance automatically puts it to the highest resolution, those are my screenshot from my phone unlocked Note 10+
In optimize mode that from factory set with screen resolution hd1080

Go to settings >display> scroll down to screen resolution and can change there , if you keep in optimize power mode

I'm pretty sure the issue is the Note 10 phone model doesn't have the Screen Solution feature like the Note 10+. That's all that I can figure out. Everywhere I look everyone is doing videos & instructions using the Note 10+ thinking it must be the same as the Note 10 but think that is not the case. As I mentioned earlier my brother's S9 has the option & obvious the Note 10+ has the option but I think maybe the Note 10 does not. I'm not sure how much it matters in the long run. I was looking at tweaks to extend battery life & all the vids & tutorials say to adjust screen resolution which makes sense. In the end I just don't think the Note 10 has a dedicated screen resolution changing feature like that. Thanks for your help!

Yes the regular Note 10 does not have screen resolution you can change it's only one FHD+2380 x 1080

Okay this is funny. I talked to a Verizon Tech person & they couldn't figure out why that option wasn't there. They gave me the number to Samsung tech support. Surpriingly I was able to speak to a person very quickly there. She & her boss remote-controlled into my phone. They were both surprised that the screen solution & night mode features were not on my Note 10. Neither of them had seen that before. So today I've stumped Verizon, Samsung & several forums. No one knew " oh ya you can not do that on a Note 10 regular it does not have that feature". The Samsung techs noticed my phone did an update recently so they think maybe those features got removed. In any case at least I'm not going crazy & my phone isn't broken. Thanks for all your help!
