Is there a way to hide the power saving icon in the notification bar?

Hence some of the differences in the update we received... I'm on Sprint

Sent from my EVO using Android Central Forums

I'm on Sprint and I still have the power saver icon after the update, and my screen looks nothing like yours.

To be honest I cannot see any difference between having power saver on or off? The battery life is just awesome for what I need my phone for. I'm easily doing a full day with no extra charging before bed. Quite simply another world in comparison to the nexus 4.

How to turn off the notification? Don't use it because I cannot see a difference, maybe you can but I cannot.

The battery generally lasts me about 2 days but I am not a heavy user. So not sure if the power saving helps or not. My screen brightness is custom though, probably 35% or something.

I used my phone yesterday without power saver on, just had sleep mode on. What a difference it made turning off power saver, I got 16 hours with 58% remaining when I went to bed. Simply put, incredible battery life. I have brightness at a custom level, location services active, all apps syncing and still this amazing battery life. Well done HTC, well done.

So you got more? I find charging every 2 days a little annoying. Would be cool if it lasted a week since I don't use it too much.

Why not charge it when you don't need it? Like when your asleep? If your unconscious then it wont be on your mind and thus wont annoy you?

I thought if you charge when it's not almost 10% or lower, then the battery life goes down, no? Like I heard that it decreases the capacity of the battery when you charge a certain section all the time.

Yeah im curious as well on when to charge it so it doesnt decrease capacity...any input?

With modern batteries letting the charge drop too low actually has a negative effect. It is better to charge your battery often, before it gets too low. See link:

.....Back to notification bars, since the update i've now got an icon for pie control in both my notification bar, and my pull down menu. no need for a permanent notification telling me 'pieControl is running'. Any ideas on how to remove these notifications?....

I also have the issue of contact ID's disappearing n showing up... little things, but kinda annoying.
