Question Is there an explorer or setting on android to import pictures via USB?

I have a Samsung S23 Ultra.
I use File Manager+ as my file manager and Simple Gallery Pro as my gallery app.
With neither do I see an option to import if I connect my camera to my phone via USB.
It does show as a folder in File Manager+ but I want to be able to import, so they just transfer over.
I have tried to connect my SD Card via a USB-C reader, and the same happens.

Not sure if I am missing something within android where I can just do this, or is there a decent app or other file manager, that gives this option?

Don't think any app has this kind of automation built in. Unlike a Windows PC, for instance, your camera or card on a phone is just being handled as any other external storage location, so any file moves would have to be initiated manually. You may be able to accomplish this with automation apps like Tasker, but that may require a little bit of 'tinkering' to get the 'trigger' right and may need root access for external file permissions.
