Is there an official Verizon Lollipop update for the LG G3?

All over the internet are articles that say "Verizon pushing out 5.0.1 update to LG G3" but so far on my LG G3 I am only running 4.4.2. When doing a check for update it returns nothing.

You may have to wait for the OTA to hit your phone. This is a somewhat random and convoluted process. You should just keep checking daily.

As far as I'm aware there isn't an official rollout yet. There are some websites still misreporting that it is rolling out. I haven't seen anything new to suggest that a rollout has finally started.

Sent from my LG G3 smartphone.

Verizon is moving slower than a waterfall of molasses on this.

However, there might be a valid reason. I would rather they test-and-tweak thoroughly instead of sending out an update that causes my LG3 to malfunction.

Eventually.

And so it goes . . .

Found this on my lg website after searching for update. In the shaded area under library it states update 3/27/15

I spoke with Verizon and they are saying that VS98512B (4.4.2 KitKat) is showing as the latest software available from both Verizon and LG. At least that is what the Verizon representative told me.

12B's what we're on currently. As far as Verizon, they've always been slow to push out updates. Welcome to VZW. Also, a word to the wise, I wouldn't jump on the first VZW version of Lollipop. Normally the first one has plenty of bugs that are caught by the users complaining. I'm pretty sure that is how Verizon performs their final testing is by making us guinea pigs. I’ve been with Verizon since the OG Droid, so I do have a little experience with them and their methods. My 2 cents. Take ‘em for what they’re worth.

The version lollipop image for the G3 is actually quite stable from the people that have flashed it. Sometimes it pays to be late.
