Is there any update on 4.3 for the S3?

Not sure this has anything to do with the 4.3 upgrade or not, but I just got a Samsung Account Upgrade pushed to my phone. Could this be in preparation to the 4.3 update?

Samsung Galaxy S3 will no longer receive 4.3 Jelly Bean OS update and upgrade for Galaxy Note 2 will be delayed indefinitely, according to the report from Phones Review.

Samsung Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean Update No Longer Rolling Out; Note 2 OS Update Delayed - International Business Times

That article quotes another article that says it's assuming that. ... the carrier has the update and already stated to a customer next week. Sprint would DEFINITELY not do that if it was not the case. ... they are very secretive about updates.
And while Samsung may have stopped updates directly. ... at this point it's up to the carrier in my experience. At least that is what a friend of mine at Verizon corporate IT told me.

Yesterday, i woke up to a message that there is a an update waiting and ready. Sure enough, it upgraded my S3 to 4.3. Haven't heard anything about an upgrade for my international S4 but my S3 is sure au courant.

Bloggers quoting bloggers quoting a reporter who is only speculating. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Will the S3 get 4.3? I honestly don't know. But neither does the author of the article you cite.

I find it odd that only Gotta Be Mobile and The International Business Times are the only ones reporting this. I haven't seen anything posted on AC, Engadget, The Verge or any of the other major tech blogs.

Has anyone seen any other articles anywhere other than these two sites?

Well, I went on Sprint's site and talked to a Sprint CSR. Pretended I didn't now anything about updating my phone so below is a copy of the transcript.

So she pretty much said that it's rolling out from November 6th to December 19th.

That's probably the timeline she was given. Keep in mind that the chat CSRs are probably pretty low level. The other CSR chat posted previously had similar, but slightly different timing on the roll out.

On Sprint and have been receiving weird little push updates today. ...I managed to see one for a split second. .... said something about voice recognition update. .... leads me to believe it will be rolling out over the next week. ..... stay tuned. ..lol
